Restaurant Gl. Avernæs
Nestled on the Agernæs peninsula on the island of Funen, Gl. Avernæs is an elegant mix of original timbered thatched buildings with stuccoed towers. The restaurant is light and atmospheric, surrounded by nature and close to the ocean. Such an exquisite venue deserves a menu that would indulge even the most sophisticated palate and appeal to all the senses.

Rooms
Our 73 rooms are all newly renovated and cozily furnished with a touch of seaside hotel atmosphere. The rooms vary in size depending on the category and several of them have a view of our beautiful park.
Meeting rooms
Our 9 meeting rooms are all bright and spacious and equipped with the latest AV equipment and everything you will need in a day away from the office. We have a maximum capacity of 150 people and are happy to provide good, different input for fun break activities.

Views of the sea on all sides
Wherever you look, you have beautiful views of water on all sides - Helnæsbugten Bay on one side and the Lillebælt on the other. You always have the opportunity to jump in to the blue, and just across the road there is also a direct access to the beach.
Outdoor fitness
Remember your training clothes if you are planning a visit to Gl. Avernæs. In addition to beautiful running and cycling routes, we also have our own outdoor fitness where sweat and hard work is guaranteed.
The bar
Our newly renovated bar downstairs is definitely worth a visit when you visit the place. It is decorated in a maritime style that gives you the feeling of entering aboard a beautiful ship.
Outdoor meeting room
Who says meetings have to take place indoors? At Gl. Avernæs, you have the opportunity to move out in our outdoor auditorium, if you need some fresh air and space for new thoughts during the day.
An experience in the orangery
Enjoy a cozy moment in our charming orangery in the park, from where you have the most beautiful view of the water.
Rent a bike and go explore
Rent a Sinatur bike and go exploring in our scenic surroundings or cycle all the way to Helnæs, which offers a beautiful bike ride with water to all sides. As a guest at Gl. Avernæs you can rent both mountain bikes and our own city bike for only DKK 50 per. day.
Bar games
In continuation of our newly renovated bar, you will find a cozy room with billiards, table tennis and darts when you need a fun break.
